Lincoln County Tax Bills Hit Mailboxes Oct. 20

NEWPORT, Ore. — Lincoln County property owners can expect their 2025-26 tax statements in the mail next week, on Oct. 20, with early payments earning discounts amid a slight bump in values.

Joe Davidson

Assessor Joe Davidson says real market values rose just 0.8% countywide from last year, while assessed values (the taxable figure) climbed 3.6%. Most folks will see the usual 3% hike, thanks to Oregon’s Measure 50 cap, though new builds or market dips can shift that.

Overall taxes, fees and assessments are up 3.4%, pushing totals to $157.4 million. Key rate tweaks include fresh fire levies in East Lincoln ($0.39 per $1,000 assessed value) and Seal Rock ($0.25), plus hikes for Central Coast Fire ($0.60 net) and Depoe Bay ($0.30). Toledo’s adding $0.44 for a water reservoir bond, while Bear Creek roads cut $1.50 by skipping their levy.

Residential properties shoulder 72% of the load, with schools grabbing 34% of every tax dollar, county ops 18% and cities 17%. Fire districts take 10%, urban renewal 5%.
