Measure 21-235: Veterans Service Office Five-Year Local Option Tax Ballot Question: Shall the County levy $0.035 per $1,000 of assessed value for Veterans Service Office operations for five years beginning in 2026? This measure may cause property taxes to increase more than three percent.

Outcome: Measure 21-235 has passed with a narrow 15-vote margin (50.07% voting YES), securing funding for the Veterans Service Office amid ongoing budget debates. The measure crossed the 50% threshold needed for approval.

Note: Percentages based on votes reported on the measure (total 14,043). This final unofficial report reflects 100% counted, with totals rising from the prior fourth report’s 13,988 votes on the measure (where YES led by 20 votes at 97% counted).
