- Jan. 2: Crash – Non-injury on US-101 near Milepost 127, Depoe Bay; a gray Ford F-350 and a white Toyota T-10 collided, no injuries reported, both vehicles drivable. Involved: James M. Auer, 52, of Fernwood, Idaho; Kenneth Richard Brissette, 70, of Lincoln City. Officer: Alexander Munsee.
- Jan. 4: Fish & Wildlife Violation at 211 Hudson Loop, Toledo; Oregon State Police Fish & Wildlife Division investigated a rapid harvest violation, the hunter was warned and deer meat was seized. Suspect: Noah P. Yarrington, 23, of Toledo. Officer: Quinten Graves.
- Jan. 4: Crash – Hit and Run on US-20 near Milepost 28-29; a minor property-damage incident in which the victim’s trailer was struck by the offending vehicle’s sideview mirror after the suspect crossed into the victim’s lane, damage below reportable threshold, no suspect information available. Complainant: Christopher William Horton, 39. Officer: Kelly Katsikis.
- Jan. 5: DUII – Alcohol on Gleneden Beach Loop, Gleneden Beach; trooper stopped a vehicle impeding traffic and crossing the centerline, driver showed signs of impairment, performed poorly on field sobriety tests, breath test showed BAC of .14%, driver lodged at Lincoln County Jail. Arrested: Stephanie Rebecca Class, 50. Officer: Gregory Plummer.
- Jan. 6: Crash – Injury on SR-180 near Milepost 11; single-vehicle rollover in wet conditions after striking a broken utility pole piece in the roadway, driver suffered facial injuries including a broken nose, initially refused medical treatment but was later transported privately to Good Samaritan Hospital in Corvallis. Driver: Christopher David Jones, 28, of Blodgett. Officer: David Wertz.
- Jan. 7: Crash – Non-injury on US-101 near Milepost 149; Subaru lost control during extreme hailstorm and struck an ODOT truck, Subaru towed by Rowley’s Towing, ODOT truck towed to Seal Rock lot. Drivers: Shelby Sue Parr, 19; Shana Rae Redmond, 54. Officer: David Peterson.
- Jan. 7: DUII – Alcohol and Controlled Substances on US-20 near Milepost 7; hit-and-run crash involving a silver Chrysler Pacifica and a silver Toyota Tacoma, Chrysler driver found impaired and arrested on multiple charges including DUII, reckless driving, criminal mischief, reckless endangering, and failure to perform duties of driver. Arrested: Mauricia Shantel Lee, 41, of Salem. Victim: Joshua Richard Bradshaw, 42, of Newport. Officer: Gavin Moody.
- Jan. 8: Crash – Non-injury on US-101 near Milepost 103; three-vehicle collision involving a black Dodge Challenger, silver Honda Fit, and blue Subaru Outback, Dodge towed. Drivers: Joey M. Hodgson, 59, of Bend; Eric Anthony Schoepfer, 49, of Neskowin (cited); Bailey Read Taylor, 28, of Lyons. Officer: Alexander Munsee.
- Jan. 10: Impound Vehicle on US-101 near Milepost 122; white Chevy Cruze stopped for speeding, driver found to be driving while suspended (violation level), cited for speeding and DWS, vehicle impounded by Menefee Towing. Driver: Rosemary Ruby Trejo, 42, of Newport. Officer: Jeremy Gray.
- Jan. 10: Crash – Non-injury on SR-18 near Milepost 6; rear-end collision when traffic stopped, at-fault driver unable to stop in time, both vehicles drivable after drivers exchanged information. Citation issued to: Angelita Hendrick, 59. Officer: Gavin Moody.
- Jan. 10: Citation – Crime at 3440 Salmon River Hwy, Otis; sex offender found out of compliance since 2022 was contacted at residence, arrested for failure to register annually, cited and released. Arrested: Jay Lester Beck, 79, of Otis. Officer: Gavin Moody.
- Jan. 11: Citation – Crime near SW US-101, Lincoln County; driver stopped for traffic violation switched seats with passenger, new driver found to be driving while suspended (misdemeanor), arrested and lodged, vehicle towed by Rowley’s Towing. Arrested: Bryan Thomas Reents, 44, of Springfield. Officer: David Peterson.
- Jan. 13: Impound Vehicle on US-101 near Milepost 141 southbound; traffic stop revealed driver driving while suspended (violation level), vehicle impounded by Coast Towing. Suspect: Pedro Mendoza Garcia, 30. Officer: Kelly Katsikis.
