- Dec. 16: Towed Vehicle (Abandoned/Hazard) on US-101 Near Milepost 123 (Northbound), A red Pontiac Grand Am was towed as abandoned by Menefee’s Welding Repair and Towing after being tagged for over 24 hours. No involved parties listed. Officer: Kelly Katsikis.
- Dec. 16: Non-Injury Crash on Highway 20 Near Milepost 34, A tan Jeep Grand Cherokee was involved in a single-vehicle rollover; driver uninjured and arranged own tow. Driver Jacob Tyler Ellingsen, 42. Officer: Trenton Davis.
- Dec. 17: Traffic Crimes (Driving While Suspended – Misdemeanor) at US-20 and Bay Blvd (Toledo), A silver Dodge Avenger was stopped; driver found criminally suspended, cited and released, vehicle released to licensed driver. Mentioned Jacqueline Jo Burget, 60, of Siletz; arrested, charged, cited, driver, and vehicle owner Leland Wayne Wallace, 52, of Newport. Officer: Nathan Goodey Brooks.
- Dec. 18: Injury Crash on SR-34 Near Milepost 9 (Eastbound), A silver Honda CR-V was crushed by a falling tree in the roadway; driver transported to hospital by Pacific West, vehicle towed by Rowley’s Towing. Driver Seamus Micah Tayman, 21, of Lebanon. Officer: Gavin Moody.
- Dec. 19: DUII Arrest (Alcohol and Controlled Substances) on SR-229 Near Milepost 19 (Siletz), A black BMW 5 Series was stopped after report of possible impaired driver; located with assistance from Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office and arrested for DUII (ORS 813.010) and Contempt of Court (ORS 033.045). - Dec. 19: DUII Arrest (Controlled Substance) at N US-101 and NE 12th St (Newport), A white Ford Expedition was stopped; driver found impaired and arrested for DUII (ORS 813.010). Arrested, charged, cited, driver, and suspect Mariano Chavez, male, of Newport. Officer: Alexander Munsee.
- Dec. 20: Non-Injury Crash on SR-18 Near Milepost 1 (Westbound, Otis), A Honda CR-V was involved in a single-vehicle crash; driver left scene prior to arrival, vehicle towed by Car Care Tow Pro. Complainant. Officer: Gavin Moody.
