June 29, 2026 – Citation – Crime – U.S. Highway 101 near Milepost 115, Lincoln City, Lincoln County
A vehicle travelling southbound on US-101 near milepost 115 failed to yield to a pedestrian in a lit crosswalk. OSP investigated and found the driver was DWS and uninsured. The driver was cited and released. The vehicle owner retrieved the vehicle.

June 29, 2026 – DUII – Alcohol – U.S. Highway 101 near Milepost 104, Lincoln County
While driving on US-101 near milepost 104, an oncoming vehicle almost struck an OSP patrol car. OSP investigated, the driver performed SFSTs, was arrested for DUII, and provided a breath sample. The vehicle was towed.

June 30, 2026 – Crash – Non-injury – U.S. Highway 101 near Milepost 127, Depoe Bay, Lincoln County
E-crash: A driver attempted an unsignalled lane change on US-101 near milepost 127, struck the vehicle to the right, then overcorrected left and unintentionally accelerated into an unoccupied parked vehicle, pushing it onto the sidewalk and against a rock wall. No injuries. Two vehicles were towed privately; one drove away.

June 30, 2026 – Disturbance, General – 3400 U.S. Highway 101, Depoe Bay, Lincoln County
OSP investigated a domestic dispute. All involved were interviewed; no charges were pressed.

July 1, 2026 – FW – Commercial Fish – Newport, Lincoln County
NOAA referral: An OSP fish and wildlife trooper contacted a commercial fisherman regarding taking and possessing commercially caught groundfish within the EEZ without an active vessel monitoring system. The fisherman was interviewed and information forwarded to NOAA law enforcement.

July 1, 2026 – Crash – Non-injury – State Route 18 near Milepost 6, Otis, Lincoln County
E-crash: Two-vehicle crash on SR-18 involving a bronze Cadillac Escalade and a white Kia Forte. The Kia was towed by Lincoln City Towing; the Escalade was towed by AAA.

July 2, 2026 – Crash – Non-injury – U.S. Highway 101 near Milepost 131, Lincoln County
Two-vehicle crash: Unit #1 attempted to enter US-101 from Otter Crest Loop and was struck by southbound Unit #2. The operator of Unit #1 was transported to the hospital by ambulance. Both vehicles were towed by Coast Towing.

July 2, 2026 – Crash – Injury – State Route 18 near Milepost 5, Otis, Lincoln County
Two-vehicle injury crash on SR-18. Unit #1 (behind Unit #2) could not stop in time after another vehicle passed, struck Unit #2, then went over an embankment and rolled onto its left side. Unit #2 was damaged but drivable and left the scene under its own power. Unit #1 was towed by Menefee Towing. Operator #1 arranged private transport from the scene.

Gary Biles dropped off ammunition at the OSP Newport Command Office for destruction.

July 3, 2026 – Crash – Non-injury – U.S. Highway 101 near Milepost 164, Yachats, Lincoln County
E-crash: Single-vehicle crash on US-101 near MP 164 involving a white Subaru Impala. The driver reported no injuries; the vehicle was towed by Roger’s Towing.
Involved parties: REEVES, NICHOLAS ADAM (driver, 42M). Involved vehicles: 418QXC SUBA IMP White (damaged).
July 3, 2026 – Impound Vehicle – NW 8th Street and NW Nye Street, Newport, Lincoln County
A vehicle was stopped for traffic violations. The driver was found to be DWS and uninsured. The vehicle was towed for SB780 impound by Rowley’s Towing; the driver received several violation citations.

July 3–4, 2026 – DUII – Alcohol – NW 11th Street and NW Spring Street, Newport, Lincoln County
On July 3 at approximately 2337 hours, an OSP trooper pulled over a Honda Ridgeline for expired tags while northbound on NW Spring Street. The driver was later determined to be DUII and arrested at approximately 0001 hours on July 4.

July 5, 2026 – DUII – Alcohol and Controlled Substances – U.S. Highway 101 near Milepost 142, Lincoln County
On July 5 at approximately 0041 hours, OSP initiated a traffic stop near MP 142 on US-101 with a blue Subaru Outback. The driver was found to be driving under the influence and arrested.
